I had the girls write their letters to Santa yesterday. A little late, considering Santa has already been hard at work on their presents, but I didn’t want to skip out on something we’d been talking about all month. Once they were done, we put them in their windows where an elf would come by during the night to gather them up and bring them back to The Big Guy. Only if they were sound asleep – mind you – that part is very important.
I helped Ella write the intro to her letter (which she dictated to me in great length – this is the short version), and then she made her list. We already explained to her that she will only get a few things, and to put the very important items at the top. Somehow I think Santa is going to manage her top 3 – although the second might be a little tricky.
You can click on it to make it bigger, but the list consists of: 1 – dollhouse, 2- toothbrush, 3- Hello Kitty movie (does Santa bring MOVIES?! Momma? – she asked excitedly), and 4 – battery toy. When we asked what a battery toy was, she said it was a battery that made lots of funny, loud sounds. I think that’s going to be the one Santa leaves off this year.
The pictures are (from top right down): a toothbrush, a house, a zombie cat chasing the house.
I made sure Sophie got in on the action as well – she’s not patient enough to let me write anything for her, so she did it all by herself.
I asked her what it said, and she responded, “PUPPY!” That’s my Princess – going for the big guns, right out of the gate.
