Ella: Mom? My turn for a show?
Mommy: Not yet Ella, it’s still Mom’s turn.
Ella: (climbs up on the couch and folds her hands on her lap) Okay. I watch the news then.

Wow, I wish this happened here. Lucia used to watch whatever I wanted though when she was about that age. Now she throws a fit when the DVR changes to record one of my shows. I’m so glad it’s getting warmer so I can send her outside for longer amounts of time.
Do you remember that story about me begging mom to let me watch TV? She said there was nothing on at that time of night. I told her maybe there was news. Lucia told me she’s a TV kid so I read her the Shel Silverstein poem about the boy who watched so much TV he turned into a TV set. No connection was made!
Yeah, I actually have told Tom that story probably more times than he cares to hear it – I still think it’s funny.
That’s my girl, patiently getting updated on world events. It will only make her appreciate Elmo more (or Dora, or Steve, or Diego, or Calliou…).
I approve of the news more than Yo Gabba Gabba. She’s learning. Congrats on the sale!
She learns from Yo Gabba Gabba too. How to dance, how to draw, how to not hit your friends…
Perhaps the most important thing to take away on YGG is that you don’t want to be like Brobee. He’s a crybaby, and he’s a bit slow. Plex the magic robot… he’s a role model.
