One of Ella’s new things is to stand in front of me saying “Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommmmmeeee!” I love this. She says “Daddy” all the time but “Mommy” is much more rare. I usually respond with “Ella, Ella, Ella, Elllllaaaaa!” (I know this isn’t exactly fascinating stuff, but trust me, it’s stinkin cute.)
Today, after several rounds of this, I finally bent down to her level and asked what it was she wanted. Instead of holding up her hands and shrugging her shoulders (which is what she usually does) she put her arms around my neck and gave me a huge hug.
Yep. Instant melted heart.
