Wow. Our house is finally officially on the market. It’s only been a day and a half but trying to live so that a potential buyer could come over at any time has already been tough. Ella and Porter are both pretty messy to begin with but I am also noticing EVERY speck of dust and dirt around the house and rushing to demolish it. It’s exhausting.
The virtual tour people are supposed to be coming today to take pictures of the rooms. I decided that for the online photos I would get some fresh flowers for the entryway and our bedroom. I also decided, after going back and forth, that I would take down at least the interior Halloween decorations. I mean, skull candles that “bleed” red wax are lovely and all but we want to attract all kinds of people, not just devil worshipers. As I was leaving WalMart, our real estate agent called me and said that he hadn’t heard otherwise so they should be showing up sometime this afternoon. Okay. I looked at the clock and it was 12:30. I panicked. It’s afternoon! So I hurried home and frantically ran around the house, grabbing up all skulls and scary pumpkins and replaced them with flowers. Plus I had to do some last minute dusting/cleaning while trying to feed Ella at the same time.
Of course, now that I’m done with all of that and Ella is down for a nap, they aren’t here yet. However, our agent called a few minutes ago to say that some people are coming to look at the house this evening so I should probably go take care of the laundry that I shoved in the garage.
